Tirupur: The CPI (M) candidate K Subbarayan who emerged as the winner in the Tiruppur Assembly Constituency leaving behind the AIADMK candidate Anandhan with a difference of about 93,368 votes was of the opinion that Modi's Varnashrama magic was ineffective among the Tamil people since Tamil Nadu is the land of Periyar.
Tirupur: The CPI (M) candidate K Subbarayan who emerged as the winner in the Tiruppur Assembly Constituency leaving behind the AIADMK candidate Anandhan with a difference of about 93,368 votes was of the opinion that Modi's Varnashrama magic was ineffective among the Tamil people since Tamil Nadu is the land of Periyar.
After gaining a total majority of 5,08,725 votes including postal ballots, he obtained a certificate from the Election Officer K S Palanisamy and then addressed the media. He assured that the financial assistance given to the constituency would be used only for the benefit of Tiruppur and that he would not cheat the people of Tiruppur. He also promised to work for the welfare of the farmers and also for professional development. In thanking everyone who voted him in, K Subbarayan guaranteed that he would be the voice of the people of Tiruppur at the Assembly.
Out of the 12 candidates fighting for the Tiruppur Assembly Constituency, only CPI (M) and AIADMK did not lose their deposit.
